working across 7 days with the occasional weekend, bank holiday and night shift.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Acute Medicine services for a 12 month secondment as the Acute Medicine Unit Practice Facilitator and a newly created post for Victoria our Acute General Medicine ward.
Both posts will work in partnership with the Practice Education & Development team to provide support and guidance to staff across both clinical areas.
Learning Environment
- Work in partnership with managers to provide an environment conducive to
- Participate in ward assurance regarding training compliance of the teams.
- Ensure all learning activities are in accordance with evidenced based practice.
- Be able to perform/demonstrate a skill with accuracy and attention to detail
- Be prepared for exposure to clinical emergencies and possible contact with bodily fluids when working in clinical areas with staff
- Be aware/understand the process for developing training packages and delivering training to staff.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work in partnership with the Practice Education & Development team to provide support and guidance to staff across the medical wards. They will provide practical and pastoral support to staff, escalating any concerns to the Ward Managers and Practice EducationTeam as required. They will support staff in the development of competence and confidence in the delivery of high standards of care whilst being responsive to the needs of patients, relatives and carersas well as service demands. In addition, they will ensure that appropriate learning environments are created and maintained to drive the integration of theory with practice.
