E-Rostering Systems Facilitator (INTERNAL)

Job summary

  • To enable WVT to successfully role out e-rostering to different areas and staff groups across the Trust, the post will primarily focus on the introduction of medical staff rostering, implementing a systematic rollout and to embed into the appropriate areas as agreed by the E-rostering Programme Board
  • To support with the basic configuration, maintain and develop the E-Rostering utility across clinical and non-clinical services within the Trust
  • To facilitate and monitor progress of the system, ensuring delivery value for money as identified in Key Performance Indicators.
  • To provide both face to face training to a larger group or 1:1 in the use of the E-Rostering system to staff who use the system which will ensure that full benefits are realised.
  • To ensure the system and processes are embedded in association with accurate and effective complex configuration being key to success
  • To be able to communicate effectively and manage complex and difficult and contentious queries and discussions

Main duties of the job

To assist in the basic configuration, setup, maintenance and development of the Trust E-Rostering system.

To work closely with service managers and staff to ensure that the rostering system is used appropriately, efficiently and effectively

To assist in the development of a comprehensive plan to support both long term and short term goals across the organisation around electronic rostering

Run reports from the E-Rostering system to enable management overview of the use of the system and analyse detailed results and escalate where required

Support where appropriate that relevant policies and procedures are followed with the support of Senior E-Rostering Team and contributes to the development/update of any relevant policies

Provide sensitive and contentious information to support the need to implement electronic rostering. Where there are potential barriers to acceptance use interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and communication barriers to overcome barriers

To work effectively with team members to ensure that the rostering system reflects information held in ESR.

Use ESR to maintain the integrity of both systems ensuring that any anomalies are fed back to workforce information colleagues and the payroll team

Ability to work in a busy office environment, work flexibly and use you own initiative as appropriate, whilst working effectively as a team.
