This is a fantastic opportunity for support workers to develop a career in the NHS as a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker in the Community.

WVT are also providing the opportunity for band 2 to band 3 career development and pay progression opportunities, subject to experience and competencies achieved. If at interview you are offered a band 2 position we will support you through the progression route to become a band 3 on completion of competencies

To provide effective individualised patient care as delegated by the Hospital@Home Nursing Team.

To facilitate multidisciplinary patient centred care. To maintain the safety, dignity and well-being of people in your care at all times.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

  • Assist qualified Nursing staff in a range of patient care duties.
  • To undertake a range of delegated nursing tasks, including cannulation and taking blood or urine samples, carrying out basic wound assessments and applying simple dressings, taking routine observations and supporting clients with medication.
  • To record patient information.
  • To provide planned patient care.
