Job summary
The Clinical Trials Team are seeking a highly organised and proactive Clinical Trials Assistant. The Clinical Trials Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Research Delivery Team to deliver high quality research across a range of specialties. The post holder will assist in the identification, recruitment and management of clinical trial participants, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), study protocols and local SOPs.
This role will involve a combination of clinical, laboratory, and administrative tasks, including assisting with data collection, sample handling, and coordination of study visits. The post holder will work closely with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the safe and effective delivery of research that improves patient care and advances medical knowledge.
Main duties of the job
To manage simple studies with support from the wider research team.
The role will include clinical duties such as taking participant vital signs, ECGs, venepuncture, processing and storage of trial samples and assisting with completion of questionnaires.
The role will also include data management as well as other administrative tasks.
