Are you a Registered Nursing Associate? Looking to venture into the community setting? If so, then the City District Nursing Team have a new and exciting opportunity for you.
The team is currently recruiting a band 4 Registered Nursing Associate to join our supportive and dedicated team. We are a supportive and hard-working team, providing care and support to patients in their own homes.
We work closely with a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams, includingGP's, Palliative Care Nurses, Therapy Teams, and Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
You will be equipped for mobile working and will be provided with a laptop and smartphone, meaning that you will have access to patient data and are able to complete patient documentation and paperwork in real-time.
We would welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified Nursing Associates. You will be supported within the role, to achieve all clinical competencies within your professional scope of practice, through our Integrated Care Academy.
The district nursing service operates between the hours of 8am-8pm and the post holder will be required to work shifts between 8am-8pm, including weekends.
Main duties of the job
Our aim is to provide treatment and support to patients in their own homes. Whilst undertaking an holistic nursing assessment, we aim to encourage patients to remain as independent as possible, in order to prevent hospital admissions.
Due to the nature of this role, the ability to meet the travel requirements of the post are essential.

- Wound Care
- Insulin administration
- Catheterisation & Catheter Management
- Pressure Area Care
- Venepuncture
- Removal of clips/sutures
- Leg ulcer management
