To be responsible for providing an effective service for all patients referred to the Radiology Department.

The successful candidate must be flexible, forward thinking and proactive and require a commitment to ensure we provide a high quality service to our patients. This is a challenging role which requires excellent communication and empathy skills.

To contribute to the delivery of a high quality Radiology Service across the Trust and Community.

The position is 37.5 hours. We have a variety of shifts. The hours will include evening, weekends and all Bank Holidays as we work 365 days a year, although this is worked on a rotational and fair basis. The successful candidate will be required to work at both the County Hospital site and the Community Diagnostic Centre

Main duties of the job

  • To work together with other staff to promote a smooth and efficient work flow through the department in which he/she is based.
  • To be proactive and forward thinking.
  • To participate in a range of shifts, to include evening and weekend shifts as required, in line with service requirements and demands. This also includes working across our 2 sites (County Hospital and Diagnostic Centre) as and when required.
  • To assist the Radiology Admin Manager in undertaking regular reviews of the office protocols and guidelines by providing advice on changes in working processes.
  • To undertake any other clerical duties that may be necessary for the speedy progression of both results and patients through the department to include secretarial support as required
