Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated EPR Programme Benefits Lead to join our IM&T team. This pivotal role will support the Trustwide Electronic Patient Record (EPR) procurement exercise and the Digital First Programme, ensuring that benefits are clearly defined, tracked, and realised to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping digital transformation within Wye Valley NHS Trust, ensuring technology delivers real benefits for patients and staff.

Main duties of the job

As the Benefits Lead, you will:

  • Lead benefits management activities for EPR procurement and Digital First initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain benefits realisation plans
  • Analyse and interpret data to produce meaningful benefits reports and evidence of progress.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure benefits align with frontline needs and deliver measurable improvements in patient outcomes, staff experience, and service efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and mentor, providing guidance on benefits management across multiple workstreams.

About You:

  • Educated to degree level in IM&T or equivalent NHS experience.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits/change management, business process redesign, and project management frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within challenging timescales.

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in IM&T area or have proven NHS degree level experience
  • Experience of working within an IM&T Clinical Programme or change environment
  • Post Grad level Change/Benefits management qualification or equivalent level experience

Desirable

  • Project Management qualification e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation and/or Practitioner

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Essential

  • Knowledge and practical experience of benefits/change management and business re-design
  • Knowledge of project planning, implementation and management and experience of working within a formal project management framework e.g. PRINCE2
  • Customer Relationships and delivery of service improvements
  • A subject matter expert for the area of responsibility

Desirable

  • Business Process mapping and workflow diagram techniques and applications
  • Understanding of NHS Policies and Strategies, including Data Protection & IG Toolkit requirements

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a change environment with multiple stakeholders and securing their engagement to deliver change
  • Experience in working within a project management environment delivering business process/change initiatives across an organisation
  • Experience of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
