Job summary
We are expanding our nursing workforce in the Cardiac Angiography Suite. We undertake diagnostic angiograms, pacemaker insertion and box changes, ILR, Cardioversions, insertion of ICD's and TOE's. The role incudes pre op care, recovering patients post procedure and working in the catheter lab itself as both circulating nurse and scrub nurse.
Main duties of the job
? To influence and implement the local and national Clinical Governance agenda.? To demonstrate and promote professional, clinical and managerial leadership.? To demonstrate up to date knowledge of national and local professional issues and toLead / facilitate the implementation at a local level.? To monitor and report on clinical and professional issues and take action as required.? To ensure adherence to the Trust's Health and Safety policies.? To ensure effective liaison and professional relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary teams.? To monitor and manage the clinical workload to ensure the effective deployment ofmanpower, taking all possible actions to minimise risk when optimum staffing levels arenot available.? To support the Matron and Associate Chief Nurse in the implementation of his/her role.? To undertake any other duties, required by the Matron and Associate Chief Nurse,appropriate to the band and relevant to the post.? To minimise hazards in the working area and report any identifiable hazards to the linemanager. To adhere to all safe systems of work applicable to the work area.
