An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Mortuary and Bereavement Team for a Mortuary and Bereavement Assistant.
We are looking for a motivated individual who can work in a focused and highly organised way to join the Bereavement and Mortuary team
The successful candidate will work within a small but busy team dealing with a wide range of Trust staff, including the Medical Examiners service, Funeral Directors and external partners.
The successful candidate will have experience in a public facing role with excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise their workload to achieve tight deadlines. They will ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with the department's processes and practices.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and remain confidential at all times, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Main duties of the job
To support the delivery of a comprehensive administration and support function to the Bereavement and Mortuary teams, this will include administration support for the mortuary service including the EDEN mortuary data base. Supporting the Bereavement Officer with Administration tasks and providing cover for the Bereavement Officer for annual leave/sickness.
To work alongside a small team of Bereavement and Mortuary staff to provide an efficient and compassionate service, liaising with relatives, Coroners Officers, Medical Examiners, Funeral Directors and other staff as required.
