Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Clinical Divisional Management Teams at Wye Valley Trust in Herefordshire. As a Senior Finance Manager you will work closely alongside the operational management team while at the same time leading your own small team of Finance staff.

This post also has the advantage of close professional and working links to the remainder of the Finance Department and with regular contact with both CFO and Deputy CFO to gain valuable wider experience in your NHS Finance career.

The aim of the role is to provide proactive financial leadership of the highest possible standard advising on all aspects of financial management.

The post holder will have a senior role in the financial performance management of the Directorate and be expected to support, challenge and influence financial management in the Division. Working closely and as part of the management team to improve efficiency, effectiveness and achieve best use of resources.

You will be directly reporting to one of the Deputy COO's and with professional level support and accountability to the Deputy CFO.

This role is based across the main NHS sites in Herefordshire while also embracing the option of agile working, through a combination of on-site working and working from home, should this flexibility be attractive to the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

The role requires an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as a Senior Finance Manager.

The post holder will be the financial lead for two clinical Divisions. You will lead on monthly reporting, service development, efficiency and annual business planning for these areas.

You will lead and motivate you own small team and work closely with your Deputy Finance Manager in providing this service.
