Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for Band 5 nurses to join the Urgent Treatment Centres at New Cross Hospital and Phoenix as part of the Royal Wolverhampton Trust.
The Role of a band 5 within the Urgent Treatment Centre is focused on delivering quality care to all of our patients. You will be supported in learning a vast range of new skills and triage.
As working as a band 5 triage nurse within the Emergency Directorate you will have opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills, attend courses and for career progression.
Urgent care is a 24 hour, 7 day a week service and there will be an expectation to work nights.
Main duties of the job
To provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group.
To deliver compassionate person-centred care, and treat patients, service users, their families and their carers with consideration, dignity and the respect you would want for yourself or your family.
To provide relevant forms of care with minimal supervision and participate in the supervision and teaching and assessment of unregistered or junior staff and students.
To play an active part in the continuing development of the department and contribute to the delivery of high standards of patient care, by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives and visitors
