HELP TO LAUCH OUR BRAND NEW PHARMACY ASEPTIC UNIT
At the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, we're passionate about driving innovation and delivering exceptional care for our patients. Our Pharmacy Aseptic Team has just taken handover of a brand new, state of the art aseptic unit and we're looking for an assistant technical officer to join our friendly and dynamic team to support the commissioning of the new unit and the delivery of a high quality aseptic service.
You will be part of an expanding team of highly professional and dedicated staff whose aim is to provide an excellent, patient focus service.
The main functions of the unit is the preparation of cytotoxic, monoclonal antibodies and clinical trials in a safe and efficient manner according to Good Manufacturing Practice and National Standards.
Our aim is to provide our valued staff with excellent training to become skilled, highly competent and confident in their job roles. We encourage innovative working which includes the development and future proofing of our facilities to meet the growing needs of the service. We promote learning and development within our organisation.
We welcome applicants from Primary and Secondary care preferably with aseptic experience, but not essential as full training will be given.

Main duties of the job
Assist the Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists in the provision of the broad range of services provided by the Aseptic Services unit working under the supervision of the Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists.
Provides pharmacy service including dispensing drugs to patients, and other supportive duties in the pharmacy aseptic unit.
Support the work of the Aseptic Services in the provision of an early start, late night, weekend and bank holiday service.
