This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust. We are a very successful department, with twin site working at New Cross Hospital and Cannock Chase Hospital (Trauma and elective sites)
The post is for a Consultant Upper Limb Surgeon with specialist interest in upper limb and trauma. We are looking for a consultant who is fellowship trained in upper limb surgery to add to the existing complement of consultants
An additional Trauma fellowship and experience is desirable. The candidate will also be expected to provide support in complex upper limb trauma as per departmental need.
The current on-call rota is a 1:10 rota, with a 7- day working commitment. Applications are welcomed from candidates with FRCS (or equivalent qualification) who are on the General Medical Council's Specialist Register in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery or who will be within 6 months of obtaining their CCT/CESR at the time of interview.

The post holder will be expected to provide a General Trauma and Orthopaedic Service, with a specialist interest in upper limb surgery. A upper limb fellowship is essential. An additional fellowship is desirable. Flexible working will be required to fully utilise hospital facilities such as theatres and out patients. The post holder will also be expected to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and to participate in audit and clinical governance activities
