Job summary

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, lively and motivated, qualified sonographers who would be interested in working within our highly skilled, multi-disciplinary teams in the Ultrasound Departments at Royal Wolverhampton Trust, based at New Cross and Cannock Hospitals.

All we ask from you is to:

Be HCPC registered and have an accredited post graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.

Experience is essential as the role requires independent reporting on scans, however some training may be available to develop your skills.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high quality ultrasound service with comprehensive independently written reports. The department provides a range of ultrasound examinations on patients with multiple complex pathologies. Scans performed include:

Upper abdominal

Renal

Gynaecology

Obstetrics

Small parts

MSK

DVTs

Carotids

It is not expected that an individual will have all of the necessary expertise however further training may be available to successful candidates.

There is a requirement to work across our main site at New Cross Hospital and also our satellite unit at Cannock Hospital where a new CDC facility opened in September 2024
