Job summary

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join the Medical Resourcing Department as a full time Assistant Resourcing Lead - Medical Staffing.

You will also manage and support the provision of a comprehensive locum function and medical staff bank service to the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Proactively ensuring appropriate cover is arranged timely for any medical employee rota gaps and vacant shifts by ensuring internal cover is arranged via the Trust bank where appropriate. Where this is not possible liaising with the Trust's external agency provider of choice, negotiating agency rates to match the agreed price capped rates.

To provide regular updates to the relevant Clinical Director / Lead Consultant / Group Manager / Directorate Manager regarding their temporary workers covering via bank or agency usage.

Ensuring adherence to the NHSI and Trust's agency cap process, should there be a requirement for off framework and/ or over price cap requested, ensuring additional approval is obtained in line with the Trust procedures and Trust Standing Financial Instructions

Responsible for ensuring all agency workers comply with due diligence requirements including checking the HPAN alert data.

Responsible for verifying pre-employment checks including HPAN and issuing bank workers terms of agreement on Trac.

Responsible for maintaining HR records and databases, such as terminating leavers and obtaining follow up right to work evidence, professional registration.

Experience/Skills

  • Experience of provide advice and guidance on a range of HR policies, procedures and terms and conditions.
  • Able to enter data accurately and efficiently into IT systems.
  • Able to accurately create reports/ documents
  • Able to work within HR policies and procedures on own initiative
  • Able to resolve queries that require some analysis involving facts/ situations such as pay.
  • Able to prioritise and organise work to meet established
