Job summary
The postholder will provide first line professional, comprehensive and timely advice to managers and staff on a range of general HR queries such as sickness absence management, terms and conditions of employment, disciplinary and grievance issues, performance management, and HR policies and procedures.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will
attend HR meetings, hearings/appeals or investigatory interviews, including taking notes/minutes as required, and type these up.
Respond to enquiries to the department (e.g. by telephone, in writing or in person)
Support the HR team in managing and reducing sickness absence within the Trust, organising schedule of training programmes as required.
Provide HR support and advice at initial stage meetings and investigations such as sickness, disciplinary and grievance
Advise on and assist with the preparation of reports and appendices for cases,
Support the HR team in policy development, the implementation of national HR initiatives and employment legislation,
Undertake delegated project work
Provide general office cover and administrative support,
Work with external agencies such as NMC, HPC to co-ordinate appropriate documentation and interviews.
Collate Staff Survey results providing benchmarks against previous results.
