The Temporary Staffing Bank Teamis a friendly dedicated group of staff based on site here at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. The aim of the team is to ensure that Wards and Departments are never understaffed. They do this by ensuring that there is a pool of 'Bank' staff to call on who want to do extra shifts or temporary work. Temporary Staffing Bank workers are:- Staff that are available to be called on to work in a flexible capacity to fill a temporary vacancy or staffing shortfall. This type of work is carried out under the understanding of No Mutuality of Obligation. The Temporary Staffing Bank provides temporary cover for Wards, Departments, and Community services on a daily basis. Bank Workers may be required to cover any short-term staff shortages. Therefore Bank workers can be called to work anytime from a few days or hours' notice.
Main duties of the job
To provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group.
To deliver compassionate person-centred care, and treat patients, service users, their families and their carers with consideration, dignity and the respect you would want for yourself or your family.
To provide relevant forms of care with minimal supervision and participate in the supervision and teaching and assessment of unregistered or junior staff and students.
To play an active part in the continuing development of the ward or department and contribute to the maintenance of an environment conducive to the delivery of high standards of patient care, by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives and visitors.
