Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team at The Royal Wolverhampton Trust as the CMDU Specialist Nurse Team Leader. The CMDU supports patients across the Black Country ICB providing clinical triage, assessment, prescribing and treatment for vulnerable COVID-19 Positive Patients .
This post offers an outstanding opportunity to lead on the delivery of a Black Country wide service as well as develop your leadership skills and specialist knowledge in this clinical area. You will utilise your skills and experience of delivering excellent patient-centred care to deliver a gold standard service.
The successful candidate will be an integral member of our well-established CMDU team, supporting clinical excellence and operational efficiencies. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed independent prescriber with excellent clinical, communication and leadership skills to lead and manage the delivery of a highly specialised service for our CMDU patients across the Black Country ICB.

Main duties of the job
You will work in partnership with relevant organisations and stakeholders to lead on the design, delivery and quality assurance of the CMDU service.
The post will provide the following services:
- Provide clinical and directorate support to the Living Well Group
- Provide operational leadership to the CMDU service
- Deliver a clinical service and advice to our CMDU patients
- Participate in service improvement projects
- To continuously monitor costs against budgets
- To manage any CMDU-related NICE Guidance or formulary updates
- Support safe prescribing and Medication Governance
- Review and develop treatment guidelines, policies and PGDs
- Participate in the training of the wider clinical teams
Applicants must be a registered clinical professional, have the ability to demonstrate clinical experience and competence in a broad range of medical and/or surgical specialties relevant to post and have an independent prescribing qualification.
