Job summary

We are currently recruiting Bank Radiology Department Assistants who are looking for the ability to work flexibility or to work some additional hours, to join our the x ray departmental bank where you will be working within a Trust that is rated outstanding for its care.

Joining our bank will enable you to deliver the best care to our patients whilst offering you the flexibility to choose when you work.

The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt maintains a register of Temporary Workers "The Bank". Joining the Trust's Bank does not constitute a contract of employment between the bank member and the Trust. The Trust will notify bank members when a suitable assignment arises, and members will be able to choose whether or not to accept it. The bank worker is under no obligation to accept an offer of an assignment.

Under current Home Office Immigration Rules, this role does not meet the UK Visas and Immigration criteria and the position is not therefore eligible for skilled worker sponsorship. Applications from candidates that require skilled worker sponsorship will NOT be shortlisted.

Main duties of the job

Assisting radiographers and radiologists in examination rooms, including assisting with the positioning of patients and setting up equipment.

Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and examination room.

Welcoming patients and giving appropriate support as needed with preparation for the examination.

  4. Assist radiographic staff in carrying out patient transfers.
  5. Prepare trolleys for aseptic techniques.
  6. Assist radiologists with procedures under ultrasound or fluoroscopic CT.
  7. Support ward staff and porters with transfer of patients.
  8. Replenishment of stock in procedure rooms.
  9. Assist with file copying and digitation requirements.
