We have an outstanding opportunity for a skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeonwith a specialist interest in Hand and Upper Limb surgery to join our team at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, based in Shropshire. This post will involve training in a specialist element as part of our succession plan.
Main duties of the job
As our Orthopaedic Surgeon, you will be performing general hand and upper limb spasticity surgery for the paediatric and adult population.
- Providing preoperative assessment, intraoperative care, and postoperative follow-up for patients
- Ensuring all treatments meet the highest standards of safety and clinical effectiveness
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to develop and improve clinical pathways
- Contributing to audit, research, and the ongoing development of the service
- Participating in appraisal, revalidation, and continuing professional development activities
- Supporting the training and supervision of junior clinical staff
