Job summary
We are recruiting to a temporary part time role within the Training Department, to cover maternity leave.
The post holders will be responsible for ensuring the provision of a high quality support service for Training and Development across the Trust, working with the Education, Training and Development Manager in the delivery of the full range of Training and Development interventions to support the Trust in the delivery of its strategic objectives.
The post-holder will ensure the provision of a high-quality support service ensuring accuracy of data relating to training and development on the Trust's ESR system, producing reports for Committees and Service Leads, the development and administration of training and development events, resolving queries and issues, providing advice or offering support with development activities to all levels of staff across the Trust and to wider system colleagues.
The post holder will support the Education Training and Development manager in providing specialist guidance and support to ensure the various processes for Corporate Induction, Mandatory and Role Specific Training, e-learning development and the provision of a comprehensive administrative support service.

Main duties of the job
Facilitating the delivery of outstanding care by applying customer care principles when providing routine and complex information and guidance, both verbally and in writing. This includes communicating in a professional and compassionate manner, especially when there may be barriers to understanding. Responsibilities will include acting as a first point of contact for enquires by telephone, email and face to face, liaising with colleagues in other teams, services and directorates and assessing, resolving and escalating service issues.
Engaging with quality and service improvement through reflecting on own practice, proposing changes to improve working practice, supporting clinicians and/or managers to provide services by minimising clinical time taken by administration responsibilities and interpreting datasets and information reports to measure training compliance.
To oversee the management of data held within the ESR system for reporting purposes.
To provide resilience in the administration and advice to managers or staff regarding self-booking onto courses, viewing own training compliance, and apprenticeship courses.

Processes and record Study Leave and CPD funding applications, including maintaining records, using the Oracle procurement system, and notifying applicants regarding their applications.
Ensure the smooth running of the Training and Development function and work with team colleagues to:
Ensure accurate data is maintained on the ESR system, including competencies for existing and new training and Inter Account Transfers (IATs).
Manage the mailbox and telephone enquiries
Prepare and provide reports using ESR and other information to monitor and report on compliance data for committees, managers and service leads as required.
Maintain records and produce reports and relating to non-attendance of facilitated courses and statutory and mandatory training, including manipulating complex data and producing quarterly deep dive reports and supporting narrative.
Process requisitions for orders or invoices onto the Oracle system and ensure timely processing of invoices.
Support all administrative tasks associated with e-learning with a view to increase statutory and mandatory training compliance.
Work with the Education Training and Development Manager to develop and ensure the provision of high-quality induction, mandatory training and role essential training on behalf of the Trust
Support the Education Training and Development Manager in the management of the annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and the annual training plan.
Support the Widening Participation team advising and signposting staff of apprenticeship opportunities to support learning and development.
Supporting personal and people development by engaging in own supervision and appraisal process, demonstrating commitment to continuous professional development, delivering training and support to team colleagues as required including demonstrating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). As a member of the Training and Development Team, the post-holder will be supported and expected to undertake courses to achieve qualifications in further education and/or development activities.
Promotes a positive organisational culture relating to training and development.
