Job summary
We are seeking to recruit an Inpatient Booking Co-ordinator to join the busy in-patient section of the MSK booking team.
Applicants must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, plus NVQ level 3 in relevant subject* (or equivalent level of experience).
Experience of working in a busy office environment and using computers is essential. Experience of using PAS, Bluespier is desirable but training in the use of necessary computer systems will be provided.
* Original qualification/attainment certificates will need to be viewed for the successful candidate.
Under current Home Office Immigration Rules, this role does not meet the UK Visas and Immigration criteria and the position is not therefore eligible for sponsorship. Applications from candidates that require skilled worker sponsorship will NOT be shortlisted.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be involved in maintaining the delivery of the in-patient pathway of the Stage of Treatment, and Referral to Treatment Target (RTT) in line with national targets.
This will be achieved through the booking of consultants' theatre lists, pre-operative assessments and management of their waiting lists, with the recording of all necessary information on the Trust Patient Administration System and Bluespier. The post holder will also be expected to carry out other clerical duties involved as deemed necessary.
