Locum Consultant - in Knee and Sports injury

Job summary

This is a Locum Consultant post, full time, with 10 programmed activities per week, Surgical and Clinical. The remit of the postholder will be to work within the multi- disciplinary team providing and developing care for orthopaedic patients. The individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the department.

The post will be primarily based at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, an NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

You will perform a range of orthopaedic procedures on patients referred to the Hospital. You will be treating NHS referred to the hospital, working in accordance with hospital protocols and working practices.

As well as being able to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems in elective orthopaedic procedures from your substantive experience, you will required to perform surgical procedures on patients referred to the hospital, working in accordance with hospital protocols and working practices. In addition, you may be required to carry out other operations that are within your range of expertise, and are contracted to the hospital.
