As a Healthcare Support Worker in our Critical Care Unit, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care for critically ill patients. Working alongside registered nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, you will contribute to every aspect of the patient's journey--from admission and acute care to recovery and rehabilitation.

Main duties of the job
Direct Patient Care: Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and comfort, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
Monitoring and Observation: Accurately record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure under supervision.
Supporting Clinical Procedures: Assist registered nurses with clinical tasks, including wound dressing changes, taking blood samples, and preparing equipment.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain a safe, tidy, and sterile environment by following cleaning protocols and infection prevention guidelines.
Communication: Relay information accurately and promptly between patients, families, and clinical staff, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
Emotional Support: Offer reassurance and empathy to patients and relatives during stressful times, being a calming and positive presence.
Documentation: Keep precise and up-to-date records of care provided and observations made, in line with hospital policies.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery and promote a positive, inclusive team culture.
