Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a talented Interim Chief Nurse and Patient Safety Officer to provide strong professional leadership for Nurses/Allied Health Professional setting a standard and direction at a time of great challenge for the NHS.

The role is available for a period of 6 months on a fixed term contract basis.

The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist provider, dealing primarily with elective Orthopaedics from Shropshire, North and Mid Wales. It also boasts a dedicated spinal injuries unit and a bone and soft tissue tumour service.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an exceptional clinical leader who has a passion for excellence and wants to make a difference. You will be determined but compassionate, action orientated, have a talent for inspiring and motivating teams, with a track-record of delivery.

You will have had experience of strategically driving quality and safety improvements in a complex environment, working with senior leadership teams and boards. In addition, this post also carries lead responsibility for Patient Safety and Governance agenda. The postholder must be able to demonstrate robust experience of Board oversight and assurance of risk management in the Trust.
