Job summary
Work as part of the Income, Contracts and Costing team within the Finance Department, ensuring that the income of the Trust is correctly identified and reported each month. This will involve working closely with other Trust staff to develop systems to support the internal and external reporting of income and contract performance across the diverse Commissioning base, comprising Integrated Care Boards (ICB's) for England, Specialist Commissioners and Local Health Boards in Wales.

Main duties of the job
- To support the Head of Income, Costing and Contracts in producing the trusts monthly clinical income position.
- To ensure the general ledger is updated with monthly income performance at month end
- To oversee the production of monthly contract monitoring reports and distribution to commissioners.
- Responding to commissioner queries within the required timescales
- Day to day supervision of the Contracts Officer
- To respond rapidly to queries from internal stakeholders in respect of activity and income data to inform healthcare plans and assess financial risk
- To work with the Units to support improvement in the identifying, recording, coding, and invoicing of activity and outpatient procedures as necessary
- Keep abreast of updates to the NHS payment system and other related guidance
- Produce the clinical income reports needed to feed into the Costing teams Service Line Reporting (SLR) and PLICS.
- Deputise for the Head of Income, Costing and Contracts when required
