Job summary
An exciting permanent opportunity for a Band 7 Gynae- Oncology Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist has arisen to join our Gynae-Oncology team. This role is pivotal in the delivery of Gynae-Oncology Services throughout the Trust. The role will include managing direct and indirect patient care and the organisation, evaluation and development of the service that is provided for this patient group within the community and hospital environment. You will be working alongside other clinical colleagues to support the facilitation of high-quality clinical care and working parallel to the Consultants within Gynae-Oncology services undertaking nurse led follow up reviews within some sub-specialties.
This post will require cross site working.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to lead a team of CNS nurses and Navigator staff providing care for patients with suspected or confirmed gynaecological cancers. The team will provide specialist nursing advise and support for the patients and their family/carers and will help them negotiate the patient journey. You will be required to support and develop the CNS team providing expertise through training, advise, guidance and by acting as a role model.

Hospital Transformation Programme (HTP)
