This is a lovely and rewarding role requiring commitment to providing a high quality of care for our oncology and haematology patients. You will get to know our patients and their relatives well and develop a good rapport with them to support their needs.

Main duties of the job

You will support the ward nursing team to provide care for our patients including hygiene needs, provision of personal care, assistance with taking diet and fluids, checking of basic observations.

You will need to work well as part of a team and have good communication skills and a caring nature. You will be required to work on an internal rotation working day, night and weekend shifts. All shifts are 12.5 hours in length. We can consider set working patterns, and set working days set days off with negotiation. Previous experience as a care assistant would be helpful but is not essential as full training will be given. We are happy to consider part time working but would expect a minimum of 23 hours per week.
