Job summary

Due to maternity leave a 12 month fixed term post as a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist has become available at the Shrewsbury and Telford hospitals NHS trust. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who wants to specialise in pelvic health physiotherapy. We would also welcome applications from band 5 physiotherapists wanting an opportunity to gain experience in pelvic health.

The post is primarily based at the Princess Royal hospital in Telford but there may be a requirement to deliver some clinics at the Royal Shrewsbury hospital.

Main duties of the job

The pelvic health team see a caseload of urogynaecology and perinatal pelvic health referrals.

The successful applicant will be working alongside two full time pelvic health physiotherapists who each have more than 10 years experience. You will be involved in the day to day running of the pelvic health service with your own caseload. You will have regular 1-1 supervision and a monthly pelvic health CPD morning. There is the opportunity to join with pelvic health physiotherapists from across the region at a quarterly CPD meeting.

The pelvic health team forms part of our large and very experienced outpatient therapy team, which is comprised of physiotherapists from B5 - B8b, occupational therapists from B6 -B8a and therapy support workers from B2 -B4. It is a supportive and friendly team as evidenced by our most recent staff survey results.
