Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Physiotherapist with experience in Amputee rehabilitation to join our dynamic team, based at The Princess Royal Hospital, but with cross site working to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The post is for 4 days per week, working days negotiable. You will work alongside our Clinical Band 7 Lead, TSW and the Consultant and Prosthetist clinics.
Main duties of the job
As a Specialised Physiotherapist with experience in Amputee rehabilitation you will be integral in delivering outpatient rehabilitation within our amputee service. The role is based at The Princess Royal Hospital but you will work cross site alongside our Band 7 Clinical Lead and TSW, having involvement in the Consultant and Prosthetic clinics.
Previous experience of using the PPAM aid and Femurett, and delivering prosthetic rehabilitation to above and below knee amputees is essential.
You will also work alongside and be supported by our Deputy Therapy Operational Managers, Therapy Operational Manager and Therapy Outpatient Centre Manager and Head of Profession (OPD) in setting a new direction for our services alongside the Therapy Quality Improvement Leads (TQILs).
The department is involved in research projects and has close links with HEI's providing clinical placements and working closely to identify opportunities for staff. We are committed to allocated CPD time, clinical outcomes and providing a responsive patient focused service.
