We have full and part time positions available at The Princess Royal Hospital.
We are looking for caring, compassionate individuals who have strong communication and observation skills to deliver excellent patient-focused care in a challenging environment.

Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistants to join the team in Acute Medicine at The Princess Royal Hospital.
AMU consists of a 17 bedded unit, Acute Medaical Assessment (AMA) which is a 7 space trollied area and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) which is a seated area for patients who are referred requiring a medical assessment but may go home the same day. AMU/AMA and SDEC is a fast-paced environment, in which patients are assessed and treated for a variety of medical conditions before being sent home or on to a specialist ward.

About us
We also have a Same Day Emergency Care Clinic (SDEC) where patients are treated and sent home the same day.
We are in the process of having an extension built onto our SDEC area which is a seated area.

- GCSE in Maths and English grade 9-4 ( A - C) or Functional Skills Level 1 or higher

- NVQ2/3 in Health related subject
Experience

- Can demonstrate an understanding, through personal statement and interview, of what is required within the role of a Health Care Assistant in the care setting
- Can describe the Trust Values and demonstrate how they put these in to practice within their caring role

- Previous hospital experience
