FIXED TERM / SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Breast Care team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. The Breast Care Team currently looks after patients undergoing Breast Cancer Treatment.
The successful candidate will work alongside a team of specialist nurses working alongside the Breast Consultants in delivering a high class service. To deliver autonomous advanced level practice encompasses aspects of education, research and management but is firmly grounded in direct compassionate care provision or clinical work with patients, families, caseloads and populations. The successful candidate will be accountable for:

Main duties of the job
This is a support post to the Breast Care service. Essentially the post holder will work with the existing Breast Care Clinical Nurse Specialists to:-
- Ensure there is continuity of specialised nursing support for individual patients and their family/carer at key and significant stages in their patient pathway and to ensure care is co-ordinated
- Ensure that individual patients have a key worker, a co-ordinated care pathway and that on going assessment of needs and information about their clinical management, access to benefits and other support services is undertaken at key stages in the care pathway
- Support the Senior Clinical Nurse Specialists in developing and participating with educational training programmes and teaching materials

- Degree or on degree pathway in Nursing Studies or willing to undertake
- Breast Care Nursing qualification or willingness to undertake
- Advanced Communications training or willingness to undertake
