Job summary
You will provide administrative support and clerical support to the Trauma & Orthopaedic Specialist Nurse Teams. Including the Elective Orthopaedic Specialist Nurse team and Trauma Nurse team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and able to work autonomously and under pressure. You will need essential computer skills with the requirement to deliver accurate data quality input.
You will require effective communication skills, particularly over the telephone and be comfortable communicating with patients and their relatives.
Main duties of the job
To carry out administrative tasks on behalf of the specialist nurses such as; ensuring patient notes are sourced and tracked in a timely manner, ensuring supplies of specialist stationary are available, answer the telephone and deal with enquires, take accurate messages and direct them to the correct member of the team, deal with internal and external post, deal with emails and ensure appropriate and timely distribution, and enter information onto the National Hip Database in coordination with the Trauma Nurses.
The role will be primarily based at The Princess Royal Hospital Telford, however there will be a requirement to spend 1-4 days per month at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
