Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to join our Clerical Team here at Therapy Services William Farr Site part of The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The successful applicant must be literate, numerate and have a good understanding of computers. The Clerical Team is vital to the efficient running of the Therapy Department which strives to deliver a high standard of patient centred care. We are looking for individuals with ambition who are able to work to and achieve goals and/or objectives set by their line manager. You will develop close working relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff ensuring they demonstrate a professional manner and personal confidence.

The successful applicant will be taught all processes and therefore have an excellent aptitude to learning new skills in a fast paced environment.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as a member of the Therapy Centre team contributing to the efficient and effective working of the team and establishing professional communication with all therapists as well as members of the public who visit to the Therapy Centre Department
  • Working as part of the Therapy Admin team to provide support in clerical and reception duties.
  • Using office equipment to input data that pertains to Therapy activity to inform departmental managers, the Trust and the Department of Health

The Administration and Clerical team work in partnership with The In - and -Outpatient Service covering Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists.

We are a team of 10, guided by our Office Manager and 2 Team Leaders. We are an enthusiastic and hard working team who support and respect each other.
