Job summary
The post holder will be a part of the Trusts Programme Management Office (PMO) team and will be supporting the Head of Programmes and PMO Business Partners in the delivery, support and monitoring of complex projects within Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital and the Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin Integrated Care System (ICS).
The post holder will provide support to ensure the successful implementation of agreed programmes and projects using project management best practice methodologies.
Main duties of the job
- To support the development and implementation of Trust strategies and plans which relate to Trust priorities of work undertaken by the PMO.
- Manage the reporting cycles and provide analytical interpretation for wider assurance.
- Support the development and maintenance of digital project management systems.
- Implementation of training, education, support and coaching in the consistent application of digital solutions to help projects succeed.
- Provide support to the implementation and delivery of the Trust's Getting to Good quality improvement programme and any such Trust priority programmes within the PMO,
- Provide assurance and monitoring of progress against agreed programmes and supports the development of rectification plans of any programmes reported as being of track or at risk.
- Analysis of programme/project status so that reports and recommendations can be produced including analysis of activity data, finance, and project/improvement metrics.
- Establish where projects link with other Trust initiatives or programmes.
- Providing critical data support to the PMO. Research and analysis, project evaluation and monitoring, maintaining compliance with corporate and public regulations, and performing any data analysis relevant to project tasks.
- Responsible for the production of project documentation and updates. Providing a detailed view of the project/programme, in both internal and external communication
- Provide practical project management support to the PMO Business Partners

Our two hospitals, The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury, provide a wide range of acute hospital services for around half a million people across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales. Together the hospitals have over 700 beds and assessment and treatment trolleys across a variety of services.

- Degree, professional registration, or equivalent specialist experience.
- Qualification in reporting and writing, Excel.
Desirable
- Formal training in Lean methodologies to an advanced level
