Surgical Nursing Open Day

Outpatients Department, The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital

Are you a Registered Nurse, Nursing Associate, or current student interested in a career in Surgical Nursing? Come along to our Open Day to find out more about our Surgical Division, the specialities that we have and why a career with us is right for you!

What to expect on the day:

  • Meet the teams and find out more about each of our surgical areas, including:
    • General Surgery
    • Surgical Assessment Unit
    • Colorectal and Gastroenterology
    • Endoscopy
    • Ophthalmology
    • Theatres
    • Trauma & Orthopaedics
  • Have a tour of the department, including our new surgical ward, Endoscopy and Theatres, where you'll find one of the latest additions to our team - our brand new robot!
  • Have your interview on the day - or book an interview slot with us for a later date
  • Speak to our education team about preceptorship and further career development opportunities
  • Our Recruitment team will also be available to offer advice and information about the next steps

It's an exciting time to join the Surgery team, with the recent addition of our new state of the art robot, as well as the ongoing work to open our brand new elective surgical hub in January 2024.
