This position includes working in Gastroenterology, Home Enteral Feeding and Nutrition Support.

We are looking for a candidate with the drive, enthusiasm and vision to contribute to our Specialist Community Dietetic Service, and liaising with other services within Community Healthcare.

Main duties of the job

Provide a professional nutrition and dietetic service to gastroenterology and Nutrition Support patients and their families.

Provide the service to both patients with a Hounslow GP and referred by primary, community and secondary care.

See patients in a variety of community clinics and other venues across Hounslow Borough or in the patients' own home where this is appropriate

Be responsible for the initial education and training of Coeliac patients referred and their follow up via Annual Review groups. The postholder will be assisted in this by other Community Dietitians

Provide FODMAP education to patients.

Train Primary Care staff (GP's, Practice Nurse etc.) in, 1st line advice, the referral pathway and policies and procedures relating to Gastroenterology and Nutrition Support.

Be competent in supervising dietetic students in accordance with their university's standards.

Have acquired professional knowledge through approved degree, postgraduate diploma training plus continuous professional development is essential. Continue to undergo dietetic training in specialist areas.
