Job summary
We are currently recruiting for a multiple Trust Grade doctors (1 x full time and 1 x 60%) in Broadmoor Hospital. The ideal candidate will have the drive, enthusiasm and vision to join our High Secure service in Broadmoor Hospital.
Broadmoor Hospital is a trainee hub, with links to the Oxford, Charing Cross and St Mary's training schemes. Significant opportunities are available for teaching, audit/QI, research and leadership experience, depending on the interests of the successful candidate.
This post is equivalent to CT1-3
Main duties of the job
The doctor will be responsible for contributing to the day to day management of up to 20 patients under the supervision of the consultant. The doctor will additionally undertake on call duties which will involve attendance at all wards within the hospital. General clinical duties of the post include: -
- The assessment and management of the patients on the ward.
- The assessment of patients referred to the ward.
- Performing physical examinations and the organisation of clinically indicated physical investigations.
- The on-going assessment and management of the inpatients including contributing to multidisciplinary reviews.
- Participation in CPA meetings and relevant documentation.
- Liaising with other Professionals.
- The preparation of Psychiatric reports.
- Occasional cross cover.
