We have an exciting opportunity in Ealing community partners (ECP) for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Lead medicines management pharmacy technician, who is keen to lead with innovation and has a drive for development.
** The post is full time . However will be considered at 4 days per week **
The post holder will be working closely with the clinical ward based pharmacy team and will manage the Pharmacy Technicians as well as manage the satellite dispensary.
You will be a team player and keen to continue to improve quality standards within the department and will be responsible for safe and cost-effective provision of medication.
The applicant should be able to work well both in a team and autonomously and have excellent communication skills.
You will be fully supported in your role to fulfil your potential in leadership, management and quality improvement processes
Main duties of the job
To provide high quality, patient focused medicines management and optimisation services to patients who are under the care of the ECP Integrated care service and support Hounslow community health services. This includes patients who are inpatients, under the Rapid response service, community health services sites and services, and any new business.
As the lead technician, you will be the operational lead for ECP medicines management team, leading for all aspects of pharmacy technician services, including managing the satellite dispensary, stock control, leading on audits, managing staff, and supporting on developing and reviewing of allocated projects, policies and Standard operating procedures (SOPs),
You will also lead on medicines management for our community services that include district nursing, diabetes, podiatry and MSK.
The successful candidate will support education and training of pharmacy technicians and students, assistants as well as medicines management training for the wider MDT team
The candidate will be required to travel across multiple trust sites in a timely manner as part of agile working.
