We are also eager to attract Psychologists and CBT therapists trained in other Talking Therapies modalities such as Behavioural Couples Therapy (BCT), Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
Newly qualified CBT therapists, who have completed a BABCP accredited CBT training, are welcomed to apply. If you are in the process of completing your CBT qualification or awaiting results, you will progress to Band 7 salary upon the receipt of confirmation of successful completion from the board of examiners, effective from the same date.
Main duties of the job
You'll provide a specialist and caring CBT service to our clients who are primarily suffering mild to moderate mental health problems, including anxiety and depression. This will include providing specialist CBT therapy, facilitating CBT groups and supporting PWPs to facilitate community and/or in-house workshops.
In addition, this role also involves providing advice on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and carers, and supervising other colleagues including trainee therapists and PWPs and trainees from other professional groups as appropriate.
You will be based in the Isleworth Centre team base and Health Centres in the London Borough of Hounslow, as well as home working.
This role will include working with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and you will be passionate about providing an equal opportunity for all clients to access our services.

Essential
- Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical or counseling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS OR Postgraduate training in another core mental health profession (nursing, occupational therapy) or equivalent experience plus a postgraduate diploma or higher degree in CBT
- Professional registration with the appropriate Health Professions Council (HPC) AND/OR To be accredited by the BABCP as a provisionally or fully accredited practitioner, or to be able to achieve provisional practitioner accreditation with the BABCP within six months of starting in post
Desirable
- Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology.
