Job summary

The Hounslow Speech and Language Therapy Team are seeking a motivated, well organised, creative person to join our paediatric therapy team. The post is fixed term for 12 months.

Hounslow Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Service is a large well integrated team committed to supporting staff in developing their skills and expertise.

Main duties of the job

This role includes opportunities to deliver therapy alongside experienced Speech and Language Therapists and support with the team with administrative tasks.

It will allow for experience with both early years and school age children. The role involves assisting in administrative duties specified by Service Leads and the Clinical Service Manager as well as assisting skilled Speech and Language Therapists in the running and management of a clinical caseload in both clinic and school settings, as appropriate.

The assistants will work closely with the whole team including administrative staff, multidisciplinary therapists and team leads as well as the service manager. The assistant will also liaise directly and attend regular meetings with the SaLT Assistant Lead.
