Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a 2-year secondment for the Team Manager position for the Hammersmith and Fulham Crisis Assessment and Home Treatment Team (CAHTT), West London NHS Trust.

The post holder will be responsible for managing and leading the Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) for service users residing in Hammersmith and Fulham who are experiencing a mental health crisis of a nature or degree that would otherwise require admission into hospital.

As a key member of the senior management team, you will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team in the respective CATT team ensuring that services are delivered safely, effectively and to a very high standard.

You will provide clinical leadership to support decision making in delivering outstanding, innovative and person-centred care to our service users. The drive and focus is to ensure our care delivery is constantly evolving and improving.

Main duties of the job

As the Team Manager, you will work collaboratively with the lead clinician for the CATT with a responsibility to ensure that all operational and service delivery issues are managed effectively.

You will have a lead responsibility in the team for managing the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients using the risk assessment procedures and ensure safe and acceptable standards of care while working in conjunction with the Lead Clinician.

Additionally, you will provide managerial leadership and senior clinical support to a multi-disciplinary team of health and social services personnel, maintenance of accurate recording of patient information and documentation while ensuring the appropriate dissemination of patient information throughout the whole team.

  • MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS AT BAND 7 COMMUNITY OR CAHTT EXPERIENCE
  • MUST HAVE APPROVAL FROM THEIR LINE MANAGER TO SUPPORT THE 2 YEAR SECONDMENT PRIOR TO INTEVIEW.
  • EVIDENCE OF POST GRADUATE QUALIFICATION

Experience

Essential

  • Significant management experience in a statutory Mental Health setting.
  • Experience of providing. Management/clinical supervision
  • Relevant experience of working with Service Users with acute mental health needs
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE DURING THE WORKING WEEK.
  • PHYSICALLY FIT

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a home treatment team
