This is an ideal opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Band 6 Nurse seeking to broaden their management and supervisory experience on an inpatient setting.

The post-holder must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and motivate staff to deliver the core objectives for the trust, whilst supporting individual development within the team.

Main duties of the job
As the manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of nursing care to patients on the ward, ensuring high standards of care are met. Your role involves providing strong leadership to patients and staff, managing day-to-day operations, and striving for continuous improvement in care quality. You will also maintain a high standard of the ward environment in accordance with CQC guidelines.
You will also lead a team comprising qualified and unqualified staff, as well as admin personnel. Your clinical leadership skills will play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of patient care. Collaboration with community services, CCG and local authorities will be essential for and managing patient care and bed flow effectively.
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will collaborate with the Head of Acute services to ensure the smooth running of in-patient services, ensuring they are delivered safely, to a high standard, and within budget.
Moreover, you will oversee bed coordination within the ward to facilitate seamless admission and discharge processes for patients. Create a safe and healing environment to reduce Patient Safety Incidents. Respond promptly to incidents, offer patient support, and conduct staff debriefings. Provide guidance, promote staff well-being, and assist in training new staff. Lead by example by maintaining high clinical standards and offering expert nursing leadership for patients with complex needs.
