We are currently seeking applications for a Band 8a Lead Nurse- Liaison Psychiatry at Clayponds Rehabilitation Hospital in South Ealing, West London, to support the implementation and delivery of a patient focused, highly responsive Liaison Psychiatry service.

Main duties of the job
Clayponds Rehabilitation Hospital is situated adjacent to a residential area of South Ealing in West London. Intermediate care services at West London NHS trust currently provide inpatient rehabilitation services at Clayponds. Care and treatment is provided to inpatients with various neurological, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. Support is also provided to patients with other medical conditions following stabilisation of their severe medical issues. The unit has three wards, Magnolia, Jasmine and Rosemary with an inpatient bed capacity of circa 70 beds.
One of the drivers for the setup of this post, is to enhance the Liaison Psychiatry input to Clayponds Hospital inpatient services, with a focus on providing direct on site Liaison Psychiatry input to those individuals admitted to the inpatient wards, who have had a severe or sudden illness and require recovery support, or for patients admitted for general rehabilitation, or for those patients who require specialist and neurological rehabilitation. The role will contribute significantly to the out of hospital integrated services model at Clayponds Hospital and has the potential to develop alignment with rapid response services based at Clayponds and delayed discharge orientated services.
