Senior Community Learning Disabilities Nurse

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ealing Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities within the nursing team.

The nursing team is a strong, passionate and dedicated team of RNLD's who endeavour to improve the health outcomes for people with learning disabilities across Ealing. We are looking for a full time band 6 Learning Disabilities Nurse to join us. If you are passionate about working with people with a learning disability and have experience of doing so, the CTPLD welcomes RMN's and RGN's to also apply.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the nursing model to assess, plan implement and evaluate care, ensuring people's physical health needs are met.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead on service development projects and implement innovative nursing and multi-disciplinary pathways. You will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team including psychiatry, nursing, psychology, PBS, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy to ensure a holistic approach is taken to manage health needs.

The successful candidate will be the clinical and operational supervisor for a junior member of the team, and support student nurses on placements within the team.

Management:

Clinical and operational management of a band 5 nurse
