A great opportunity has arisen for an Estates Manager within our Capital Estates and & Facilities Broadmoor Hospital, Crowthorne. The post holder will assist the Senior Estates Manager in the development of robust estate management processes to enable the provision of rationalised, efficient, customer focused and high quality maintenance services.
The post holder will be responsible for organising and managing the Estates team ensuring that all repairs, fault-finding and routine planned maintenance for all estates related services are completed in compliance with all Statutory Regulations, HTMs, Trust Standards, policies and procedures.
The post-holder will provide specialist management, advice and support on hard services across the Broadmoor sites, with focus on patient safety, clinician satisfaction and wherever possible cost efficiencies.
The post holder will be required to attend and contribute to Trust Safety Committees, raising concerns in the appropriate forums, accept specialist advice and own issues raised to completion.
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Estates Manager Technician to provide excellent leadership for the department.
Main duties of the job
To have delegated responsibility for the management, co-ordination and monitoring of building maintenance activities using both directly employed labour and contractual services to ensure the estate is maintained in such a condition that it fulfils its functions effectively, safely, economically and efficiently, whilst ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and trust policies.

- Professional graduate level qualification in Building Services Engineering (e.g. City and Guilds Level 5, recognised apprenticeship or other approved technical maintenance mechanical or electrical training OR Equivalent demonstrable practical knowledge and experience (gained through a maintenance role) acquired through work experience PLUS supplementary courses
- Accredited Health & Safety training qualification.
Experience

- Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience within a commercial maintenance environment.
- Substantial post training experience within either electrical/civil/mechanical maintenance.
- Experience undertaking surveys and audits (e.g. condition surveys)
- Understanding and implementation of the HTM guidance
- Understanding of contracting Estates Maintenance and Facilities Services
- Line Management experience within an estates maintenance delivery environment
Desirable
- Experience of working with the NHS or secure environment
