A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a high performing operational manager to develop their skills. We are seeking a Band 8B Service Manager for our Older People's Mental Health Service (OPMHS)Specialist Older People's Mental Health Service (SOAMHS) in the community.
Following a review of provision of mental health services for older people at West London NHS Trust, we have recently transformed and expanded our service to better meet the needs of older people with mental health conditions.
We are looking for a Service Manager with a passion for high quality care for people with mental health conditions. We welcome applications from candidates with strong operational management skills, with significant experience of staff management, service development and transformation.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the post holder will work in partnership with the clinical leads, OPMHS Service Managers and senior professional staff to ensure the high standard of service delivery in dementia care in the community. The role will cover SOAMHS teams within the boroughs of Ealing, Hounslow, Hammersmith and Fulham, with the expectation that the post holder will be working from these sites or within WLNHS Trust Headquarters in Armstrong Way, Southall.
The services for which the post holder is responsible will be multi-disciplinary. The post holder is a key member of the senior management team of the clinical service line and is pivotal in the provision of effective leadership in ensuring that positive outcomes for older people with mental health conditions is achieved. They will hold responsibility for ensuring that services that they manage are delivered safely, to a high standard and within budget. They will be instrumental in ensuring that their services align with local, Trust and national strategic priorities and will drive forward future service transformation.
