Job summary

We currently have 2 exciting opportunities for dynamic, ambitious, and motivated Band 7 RMN's who has experience in managing Ward in the Forensic Services Mental Health and other relevant Mental Health Services. You will be joining a team who are passionate about providing a positive experience to our Service Users who present with complex needs. The primary focus of the role will be the assessment, diagnosis and support service users with challenging needs with mental health problems.

The post holders will also be part of the thriving multidisciplinary team and they will be offered high quality and consistent supervision from within the service. In addition, good opportunities for continuing professional development will be offered, alongside other supports.

We are looking for RMN's who are able to demonstrate a commitment to creative engagement with a culturally diverse population, show initiative, are team players and are able to communicate ideas clearly to both professionals and service users alike. They will also need to be flexible and have the necessary skills and experience to provide high quality care that is both evidence based and client focused. The above post is offered on a permanent full time basis.

Main duties of the job

To establish and maintain communication, with various individuals and groups of patients, carers and staff on complex potentially stressful topics in a range of situations.

To develop knowledge and practice on the ward and across the service.

To promote best practice in health, safety and security.

To develop and improve services.

To improve quality.

To enable people to exercise their rights and promote their equality and diversity.

To ensure the ongoing assessment of people's care needs on the ward.

To ensure that the planning, delivery and evaluation of care programmes addresses the complex and changing needs all patients.

To develop and sustain partnership working with individuals, groups, communities and agencies.

To lead the ward team in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice.

To allocate, coordinate, monitor and assess the work of the team and individuals

Adhere to NMC Code of Professional Conduct guidelines and requirements, promoting the highest standards of conduct and maintaining knowledge of current issues and changes in professional practice.

To plan, obtain and deploy physical and/or financial resources.

To ensure the recovery approach is embedded in day to day clinical practice.

To promote the Trust values (Togetherness, Responsibility, Excellence and Caring).
