Job summary
We are recruiting a Clinical Psychologist to join our Brighter Futures Psychology Team across our Child Protection and Child in Need services. 'Brighter Futures' in Ealing is a values and relationship driven practice model across children's services which draws upon mentalization-based models and attachment and trauma-informed care approaches. There will be access to Brighter Futures model training (incorporating elements of AMBIT, Family Partnership Model and Dyadic Developmental Practice) for the post-holder. The post includes a combination of working flexibly from home as well as office-based work where needed, to connect with teams and colleagues. The service offers consultation, training and reflective practice to social workers alongside some direct work to children/young people and families.
The post holder will be supported and supervised by the Principal Clinical Psychologist and we are able to provide varied opportunities for professional development and training, and have close links with UEL, UCL and Royal Holloway training courses, with trainees regularly undertaking placements within our service.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a highly specialist clinical psychology service to young people (0-18) and their families who present with complex difficulties and are under the local authority child in need (CIN) or child protection (CP) processes. This may be due to challenges within the family relationships and/or wider community (e.g., contextual safeguarding concerns).
The role will include providing consultation for social workers and wider network to develop reflective thinking and share complex psychological formulation in an accessible way. The role will also include delivering training and skills development sessions for social workers, groups for parents and young people and contributing to/ supporting systemic group supervision for the teams. The post holder will also hold a small caseload, providing direct specialist assessment and therapeutic interventions to support positive change for children, young people, parents/carers and families. Trauma-informed and relationship based practice is at the heart of the work we do in the team.
