Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with young people with Neurodevelopmental conditions and / or Learning Disabilities and their families to work in West London CAMHS as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist (Band 8A - 0.5 WTE). The role is based within the Ealing Transitions Team, which provides social care services to young people aged 14 to 18 with complex needs arising from their disability in order to prepare them for adulthood, and to help them move on to independence or adult social care services, depending on their needs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled & innovative clinician who is able to maintain clinical curiosity and engage in reflective practice as well as be able to be an advocate for children, young people and families' needs. You will be joining a welcoming psychology team in Ealing and West London who are committed to service improvement, staff well-being, and who value diversity in our workforce.
Main duties of the job
You will offer a high-quality service to young people, families / carers, alongside working effectively with your colleagues and liaising with other professionals in the network. This role combines clinical work (involving specialist assessment and interventions) with opportunities to further develop leadership and consultation skills as part of a multi-agency partnership. Ealing CAMHS has a strong multi-disciplinary approach and thrives on innovative and reflexive practice to meet the needs of a socially, economically culturally diverse London borough. You will be committed to ensuring that the service is accessible and effective.
Psychology is very well established profession within CAMHS and has a strong and supportive network of Senior Psychologists. The post provides excellent opportunities for professional development and regular supervision.

Essential
- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society, or equivalent if trained overseas.
- Eligible to work as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical) as approved by the Health Care Professions Council.
- Training in supervision.
